Launch of "WUJ Wan Go Jalan?" Heritage Stroll Around Pulau Ubin's Malay Kampung with Syazwan Majid

UPDATE: Event cancelled due to recent development in the COVID-19 situation in Singapore, as announced in the late evening on 12th March 2020. Hi all!
I am happy to launch WUJ's newest and second community outreach programme called "WUJ Wan Go Jalan?"!
Join me on a simple leisurely heritage stroll around Pulau Ubin's Malay kampungs - Kampung Sungei Durian and the former Kampung Surau - and discover the hidden stories and histories that make the kampung a special part in the residents' lives.
Details for the event are as follows:
Please gather at the following location by 9 am on the day of the event:
Changi Point Ferry Terminal* Ground Floor
51, Lorong Bekukong
Singapore 499172
*Please ensure that you head down to the correct ferry terminal as there is another ferry terminal of a similar name (Changi Ferry Terminal)
A single bumboat trip costs SGD$3.00

ITINERARY
You are strongly advised to bring:
1x Water Bottle
1x Cap
1x Face Towel
Insect Repellent
You are advised to bring along sufficient amount of cash, should you wish to patronise from the resident-owned businesses to support them in making a living on their island home. There are no ATMs on Pulau Ubin.
You are also strongly encouraged to come dressed in long pants/trousers and covered shoes for added protection from the sun and insects.

COVID-19 ADVISORY
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 situation in Singapore, the personal well-being of all participants is of utmost importance. Therefore, any individual who answers yes in the following questions are strongly advised to refrain from attending the event in the interest of public and personal health and safety:
The Infectious Diseases Act requires a person who has reason to suspect that he/she is a case or carrier of COVID-19, or has had contact with a person with COVID-19, to act in a responsible manner to not expose other persons to the risk of infection by the disease.
Likewise, on the day of the session, please have your body temperature checked before leaving your home. Should your temperature be higher than 37.5°C, please refrain from attending the session, consult your doctor immediately and rest well at home.

- Do you have flu-like symptoms? (cough, fever etc.)
